Original Abstract
The book introduces a collective of authors who approach Belgrade as a conceptual starting point of their research. While grounded in one location, it explores the broader meaning and identities projected onto the so-called Balkans as a region. Trough different approaches, the texts create a series of fragmented yet inevitably related commentaries on themes such as authenticity, migration, urban transformation and Balkanism. The book was curated by Barbora Ilič, who is the main author and initiator of the project. It features chapters by contributing authors Jiří Gruber, Risto Ilič, Tamara Spalajković and Milica Mijajlović.
