Original Abstract
Biological effects of some mycotoxins were analysed using two independent tests of genotoxicity: i)Ames test with Salmonella typhimurium TA98 and ii) cytogenetic analysis of human peripheral lymphocytes. Genotoxicity was demonstrated in extracts of Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus versicolor, Penicillium simplissimum. Antimutagenic properties exhibited extracts from carrot, spinach and beta-carotene.
