3rd Autumn Workshop on Functional Organic Materials for Sustainable Future

Faculty of Chemistry BUT will host the international 3rd Autumn Workshop on Functional Organic Materials for a Sustainable Future from 29 to 31 October 2025. The workshop will welcome leading experts from European universities engaged in sustainable materials research. The programme will include public lectures and a poster session, offering inspiration and insight into current research trends.

As part of the workshop, the Faculty will welcome top experts from prestigious European universities: UNIBA Bari, Charles University, University of South Bohemia, LMU Munich, STUBA Bratislava, University of Innsbruck, BOKU University Vienna, Krems University, Johannes Kepler University, and UCTM Sofia.

The programme will include not only professional discussions and the exchange of experience among scientists but also activities open to the public:

Public lectures will take place on Thursday, 30 October. Leading researchers will present topics related to sustainable materials and their functional applications. More information and the full programme can be found here.

The poster session, which will be open to the public, will take place on Friday, 31 October, from 9:30 to 11:00 in the laboratory section of the Faculty of Chemistry, BUT. Visitors can look forward to presentations of research projects by students and academics and the opportunity to meet the authors in person.

The workshop offers an excellent opportunity to learn about current research directions, make new contacts, and discover how chemistry can help address sustainability challenges in practice.
