FCH student Kateřina Mašková advanced to the national finals of FameLab competition
Student of the Chemistry for Medical Applications program, Bc. Kateřina Mašková, has advanced to the national finals of FameLab 2025 – a prestigious science communication competition in the form of scientific stand-up.
FameLab is an international competition founded in 2004 in the United Kingdom as part of the Cheltenham Festivals of Science. Its goal is to discover new talents in science communication who can present their topic to the audience in an engaging, clear, and enthusiastic way. Contestants have only three minutes to explain their scientific topic, without the use of audio-visual technology. The only allowed props are those the contestant can bring onto the stage and take away afterwards. The competition was introduced to the Czech Republic in 2011 by the British Council, and since 2022 it has been organized by Charles University.
Kateřina will have the opportunity to present her research to the public and an expert jury at the finals on 29 September 2025 in the Great Hall of the Municipal Library in Prague.
Congratulations to Katka, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the finals!
