Visit of Prof. Karin Stana Kleinschek and Dr. Rupert Kargl from TU Graz at the FCH BUT

On May 29–30, 2025, the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology (BUT) hosted a visit by colleagues from Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) – Prof. Karin Stana Kleinschek and Dr. Rupert Kargl. The main purpose of their visit was to discuss and develop future collaborative projects, especially within the framework of bilateral Weave projects.

Prof. Karin Stana Kleinschek is a renowned expert in biomaterials, polysaccharides, and their applications in biomedicine and sustainable technologies. Dr. Rupert Kargl specializes in the chemistry and surface modification of biomaterials, particularly their applications in environmental technologies and sustainable development.

This visit built upon the successful internships previously completed by Ing. Vojtěch Krusberský at TU Graz, which laid the foundations for this promising cooperation. Details about his experiences in Graz can be found in this article.

The visit represents another significant step towards expanding the international connections of the Faculty of Chemistry in the field of joint research.

We thank our colleagues from TU Graz for their visit and look forward to future collaborations!
