• TAČR Award 2022

    The project Revitalization of Agricultural Soil in Drought-Stricken Areas of the Czech Republic was awarded the 2022 TAČR Czech Idea in the "Society" category. The project was carried out in cooperation between the FCH BUT, the Faculty of Horticulture at MENDELU, OSEVA Development and Research Ltd., and Agricultural Research Ltd.

  • China High Tech Fair

    The Hydal biotechnology for producing biopolymers from used frying oil, developed in the laboratories of the FCH BUT, was recognized as one of the Top 10 Products at the prestigious China High Tech Fair 2016 in Shenzhen. The technology, developed at the Centre for Materials Research at FCH BUT, was brought to market by the company Nafigate. More information

  • Seal of Excellence

    International award by the European Commission – the “Seal of Excellence” for project No. 762484, “HYDAL-BIOTECH Biotechnology for the production of PHA biopolymer from waste cooking oil,” submitted under the H2020 program.

  • Frost and Sullivan Technology Innovation Award

    The prestigious international Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award—often referred to as the "Technology Oscar"—was awarded to the HYDAL (PHA) technology. The innovation was patented at Brno University of Technology by the team of Professor Ivana Márová. More information

  • City of Brno Award

    In 2015, the City of Brno awarded Professor Ivana Márová from the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology a prestigious prize for her contribution to technical sciences. She received the Brno City Award for developing a technology for microbial production of bioplastics from used frying oil. More information

  • TAČR Award 2017

    The project awarded the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic Prize in 2017 in the category of originality of solution was titled “Research and Development of Advanced Thin-Film Elements for Direct Monitoring of Time Variables via Precisely Calibrated Color Change.” The project was conducted by a team from the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology, led by Prof. Michal Veselý.
