On the project
The BridgeTTe project aims to bridge critical gaps in the European innovation landscape between academia and industry, addressing challenges such as low engagement with ecosystem actors, insufficient entrepreneurial competences in academia, and weak alignment of research priorities with industrial needs. By systematically identifying local talent, employing advanced AI tools, and pioneering unique university prototyping programs, BridgeTTe will foster deep-tech start-ups and spin-offs with pan-European and global reach. The project will implement capacity-building training, joint activities with industry experts, and market validation support to empower science-preneurs, particularly women, in transforming cutting-edge research into commercially viable innovations. Through strategic cooperation networks, entrepreneurship promotion, and the facilitation of technology transfer, BridgeTTe will significantly reduce regional innovation disparities and boost the market-readiness of academic outputs in Central and Eastern Europe. Leveraging the expertise of two Central European academic institutions, Brno University of Technology (BUT) and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), alongside key innovation hubs (JIC and ADDSEN) and global ecosystems (WONDER), BridgeTTe will serve as a model for enhancing innovation synergies across the EU.
