On the project
As medical treatment standards rise, so does the demand for innovative medical methods and materials. This project aims to develop an advanced foam hemostatic system with antimicrobial properties. The system will be evaluated using a rabbit carotid injury model for severe arterial bleeding and a standardized rabbit kidney damage model. The goal is to introduce a new hemostatic tool capable of controlling bleeding from severely damaged arteries and preventing infections. This innovation will enhance survival chances for critically injured patients in emergency situations, both civilian and military.
