Original Abstract

The work was aimed at biodegradability of bacterial natural and modified polyesters and their composites. Three types of modified PHA materials were tested. Poly(3-hydroxybuytyrate), produced from waste frying oils by Cupriavidus necator H16, was modified by i. chloration ii. PHB processed by extrusion and modified by commercialy available plasticizer and iii. PHB used as partial replacement of polyether polyol in polyurethane.
