Original Abstract

The aim of this study was the optimization of the Solid Phase Micro-extraction (SPME) method and the optimization of gas chromatography using an electron capture detector method. The analytical procedure involves derivatization of ionic mercury with sodium tetraethylborate in a sample vial and following extraction with a silica polydimethylsiloxane coated fibre.
