Original Abstract

Kinetic study of pent-1-ene and 4-methylpent-1ene polymerization initiated by nickel diimine catalyst was performed to examine the effect of monomer structure on the polymerization rate and the polyolefin microstructure, and correlated with chain-walking mechanism. Active species formation was investigated by UV-VIS spectroscopy.
