Original Abstract
3D porous collagen scaffolds were modified with both antibacterial natural polysaccharides (chitosan and oxidized cellulose) and growth factors delivered in the form of blood platelet lysate. These newly developed antibacterial collagen sponges involving growth factors could be used as scaffold for growing cells in systems with low mechanical loading having potential application in soft tissue engineering.
