Abstract
Original Abstract
One of the disadvantages of more extensive utilization of magnetorheological fluids in broad applications is their kinetic instability over the time. Non-stabilized MR fluids showed strong destabilization in both centrifugal and gravitationa. Fluids (oil-based) and surface actives agents (non-ionic tensides) with nanosized dimension have been used as stabilizers. The kinetic stability of MR fluids has been studied by analytical centrifugation. Iron particles chemically treated by non-ionic tenside (10 wt. %) showed higher stibilty over the time in comparison with non-treated iron particles.
