This contribution is focused on the development of a pH indicator with colorimetric or fluorimetric response using food-safe ingredients and its deposition on plastic substrates using material printing. A pH sensitive formulation was printed on a plastic substrate and exposed to basic volatile substances with real time color or fluorescence measurements.
