Original Abstract
The triazenols Ph-N=N-N(OH)-R (R=alkyl, cyklohexyl) were oxidized by peroxy radicals under formation of nitroxyl radicals Ph-NO-N=NO-R+. By the oxidation with PbO2 the elimination of molecular nitrogen proceeds. The intermediate Ph radicals were identified by spin trapping method.
