Original Abstract
The glasses whose compositions can be expressed by (GeS2)100-x(In2S3)x (x=0,10,20,30) formula were obtained by the meltquenching technique. The glasses were homogeneous with high optical transmission from visible to mid infrared region (0.65-10 um). The glass structure was studied by Raman and IR spectroscopy. Main structural units of studied glasses are GeS4 tetrahedra, tetrahedra InS4 and octahedra InS6. The thermal analysis was evaluated using DTA and DSC methods.
