Original Abstract

4lánek popisuje využití MALDI-TOF MS pro analýzu polymerů. Tato metoda je vhodná jak pro studium biopolymerů, tak syntetických polymerů. Byly studovány různé směsi -OH a -H končených polystyrenů. MALDI-TOF MS umožňuje identifikovat jednotlivé oligomery s různými koncovými skupinami, určit hmotnostní distribuce a polydisperzitu a určit molární a hmotnostní složení směsi polymerů.

English abstract

Utilization of MALDI-TOF MS in polymer analysis is described. The method is suitable both for biopolymers and synthetic polymers. Various mixtures of -OH and -H terminated polystyrenes were studied. MALDI-TOF MS is able to identify individual oligomers with different end-groups, to determine weight distribution and polydispersity, and to analyze molar or weight composition of polymer mixtures.
