Original Abstract

In this work simple procedure fo isolation of Type I collagen from chcicken skin was elaborated using precipitation techniques. Chicken collagen was purified and characterized by PAGE-SDS electrophoresis, utrasonic sectroscopy and viscosimetry. Biodegradation in simulated physiological conditions and in presence of some microbial strais was tested too. Amino acid analysis was compared with commercial bovine skin collagen.
