Original Abstract
Simple method for determination of diffusion coefficients in humic gels was developed and tested with three metal ions and lignite-derived humic substances. Furthemore, kinetics of complexation of the ions with humic gel was studied by conductometry and potentiometry. Experimentally determined diffusion coefficients were compared with data published for water solutions and the role of chemical reaction and diffusion was discussed.
