Original Abstract

To evaluate the transfer between soil and a plant, the xenobiotic substances were analysed also in soil. The values found in this area were compared to those found during ten-year monitoring in the area of former Colorlak factory, where the commercial PCB mixture Delor 106 was used in paints manufacture. The agricultural ecosystem of the Novy Jicin underwent the evaluation of the level of contamination by PCBs. It appears that there is no source of primary contamination at this site and that secondary contamination via atmospheric transfer is negligible. It can therefore be concluded that the feed produced in this particular ecosystem will not entail a severe risk either to farm or wild animals.
