Into the Depths of Rheology

On Thursday, February 6, 2025, the Faculty of Chemistry hosted a professional seminar titled “Into the Depths of Rheology: Discover the World of Viscoelasticity,” organized in cooperation with the company Měřicí technika Morava.

The seminar program was packed with engaging lectures focused on current research in the field of rheology. Dr. Smilek presented the use of rheology in the characterization of hydrogels, while Dr. Bílek focused on alkali-activated materials and the role of rheology in the development of innovative inorganic binders.

The event attracted 22 participants from both academia and industry, including PhD students from the Faculty of Chemistry at Brno University of Technology, who actively work with rheology in their dissertations. Discussions and knowledge sharing demonstrated that rheology is not only a fascinating science but also a key tool for characterizing modern materials.

We thank all speakers and participants for an inspiring gathering!
