Special Technology of Ceramics

Introduction in technology of ceramics, history of ceramics, evolution of ceramic manufacturing in Bohemia, trends of ceramic technology. Principles of ceramic technologies, preparation of ceramic materials, possibilities of forming, stabilities of clay based suspensions, rheological properties and their control, properties of ceramic pastes, Drying of ceramics, composition and structure of moist material, course of drying. Annealing of ceramics, rate of firing, calculation of temperature profiles in annealed product, kinetics of reactions. Relations between structure and properties. Mechanical properties, chemical resistance, thermal properties, viscous flow, creep, electrical and magnetic properties, optical properties.
