Aims

Course objective
- to deepen background knowledge acquired in previous course;
- to create appropriate conditions for deeper understanding of the essence of complex technical and natural phenomena related to radioactivity and nuclear chemistry, as well as modern technologies.
- to contribute to mastering both the subjects that are interrelated with it and those that follow it.

After completing this course, students:
1. will know the definition and content of nuclear chemistry
2. will understand the basic properties of radionuclides and ionizing radiation
3. will be familiar with the term radioactivity, with the processes of radioactive decay, nuclear reactions, formation of ionizing radiation
4. will be informed of the occurrence of radionuclides in the environment, the use of radionuclides and ionizing radiation
5. will be familiar with the technology of nuclear chemistry
