We are opening a new Master’s programme

Environmental Sciences and Engineering is a double degree study programme: graduates are awarded two academic degrees.

Our new study programme is a result of the faculty's long-term cooperation with the University of Koblenz-Landau (Uni KO-LD). It is a double degree study programme: graduates are awarded two academic degrees, and the language of instruction at both institutions is English. Courses at Uni KO-LD are focused on the processes in various parts of the environment, advanced statistical data processing and environmental economy. FCH courses specialize primarily on advanced technologies of environmental protection, mostly concerning water, soil and waste processing. The study programme offers several specializations: environmental analysis, applied ecology, socioeconomics and environmental management or environmental modelling.

Students spend the first semester at the University of Koblenz-Landau, the second semester at FCH BUT. The third semester includes an obligatory internship in a firm or research institution. Students may choose from many selective courses either at Uni KO-LD or FCH (or both), according to their agreed study plan. During the final semester, students finalize their master’s theses, conducted either at Uni KO-LD or FCH BUT. A defence of a thesis involves academics from both institutions and takes place in Brno.
