Types of waste, recycling, disposal. Waste analysis.
Fundamental technologies - biological, thermal, landfilling and solidification.

written examination, "E" and better is given if 50% and more questions are answered

Aims

The aim is to give students the information on current and planned legislation of waste management, WM strategies, WM companies, principles and examples of circula economy, methods of Life cycle assesment, issues of collecting, separation, transport, recycling or waste disposal. Next, students will learn about types of waste, the disposal technologies and strategies. part of the course will be also devoted to waste analysis. As a part of education are planned excursions to several companies dealing with waste disposal.
