Optimization of novel PEDOT based hydrogels for biomedical applications

O projektu

The goal of this project is optimization of novel hydrogels based on organic semiconducting polymer PEDOT for use in bioelectronics. Novelty of the project is based on the combination of this polymer with highly biocompatible dopants, such as DBSA or hyaluronic acid, resulting in completely new type of highly biocompatible electrically conducting hydrogels, suitable for use in bioelectronic devices for regenerative medicine and cell stimulation. Optimization of the hydrogel’s properties is the key step in the successful material development.
