Contamination of biotic components of the environment by metals is a serious problem mainly due to their bioaccumulation potential. This study is focused on the evaluation of contamination of fish from the Svratka river (South Moravian Region, Czech Republic) by methylmercury. Fish were caught at two sampling points – upstream and downstream of the municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Brno Modrice.
