The photostability of selected two, three and four ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the presence of organic solvents has been investigated under common daily conditions and accelerated by UV irradiation. Kinetic of degradation, degradation mechanisms and the most abundant degradation products of eight PAHs were investigated in isooctane and dichloromethane.
