We conducted study of photophysical properties on series of N-substituted diketopyrrolopyrroles (DPPs). The photophysical properties are studied by means of optical and transient absorption spectroscopy and the structure in solid state was analysed using X-ray diffraction. The experimental data were correlated with quantum chemical calculations.
