Originální abstrakt

Extracellular vesicles, particularly exosomes, are nanoscale membrane-bound particles involved in intercellular communication and show significant potential in oncology. Their natural surface proteins provide advantages for targeted drug delivery over synthetic nanomaterials. However, improper selection of source cells or engineering can lead to safety risks. Because exosome morphology may change during cultivation and isolation, reliable imaging is essential. This work focused on finding an efficient imaging method without immunolabelling or cryogenic techniques. After SEM proved unsuitable, STEM and TEM were tested, leading to a successful procedure for rapid visualization and comparison of exosome populations, with no major morphological differences observed.
