Red yeast Rhodotorula glutinis is extremely sensitive to higher osmotic stress. In this work influence of exogenous addition of hydrogen peroxide (0-10 mM) into growth medium in various phases of cultivation on content and composition of carotenoids produced by this strain was studied.
