Indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films as the anode contact for organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) should have low work function as a hole injector into organic semi conducting polymers and the flat surface to achieve lateral homogeneous electrical field in order to eliminate breakdowns of OLEDs. The surface treatment as cleaning and etching in various liquids and plasma treatment were realized to improve its properties. The surface was investigated by contact angle measurements. The significant improvement was observed at air plasma treatment. The different effects were observed depending on ITO thickness
