Preconcentration of PGMs and gold is necessary prior to their determination by ICP-AES. The best method for enrichment is SPE. A variety sorbents (modified silica or anion exchanger) are suitable for preconcentration and separation of PGMs and gold from the inorganic matrix or organic matrix after mineralization.
