Originální abstrakt

Magnetic nonporous hydrophilic poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-ethylene dimethacrylate) [P(HEMA-EDMA))], poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-glycidyl methacrylate) [P(HEMA-GMA)], and poly(glycidyl methacrylate) [PGMA] microspheres were prepared by a single-step dispersion polymerisation in the presence of sterically or electrostatically stabilised colloidal magnetite or maghemite. Enzymes, such as RNase A, DNase I, proteinase K and Salmonella antibodies were immobilised on the microspheres and their applicability in molecular diagnostic was demonstrated. Heterogeneous lanthanide complexes of ethylenediaminetetraacetic and iminodiacetic acid immobilised on magnetic PGMA and P(HEMA-EDMA) microspheres, respectively, were used as catalysts of plasmid DNA cleavage. Monodisperse poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) microparticles were prepared by two methods, namely, ammonium persulfate-initiated precipitation polymerization in water and 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile-initiated and poly(hydrogenated isoprene-block-styrene)-stabilized dispersion polymerization in toluene/heptane. Microspheres were applied for reversible adsorption of DNA at different temperatures.
