This contribution is focused on the investigation of the diaphragm discharge in liquids, especially in various water solutions. To create the discharge, a non-pulsed DC high voltage source was used. The influence of the discharge conditions (applied voltage, initial conductivity of the solution, used electrolyte etc.) on the OH radicals generation is studied. The optical emission spectroscopy and the electric measurements were used for investigating the discharge.
