In this study, hydrogels were prepared based on two types of polysaccharides, water-soluble cellulose derivative and chitosan, combined with other synthetic polymer, namely poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) , which enhance both the stability, mechanical, and viscoelastic properties of the resulting hydrogel. On the basis of the measurements, it was found that by selecting the appropriate ratio of the individual components forming the hydrogel and the preparation method, it is possible to create a wide range of viscoelastic materials, from hydrogel drug carriers to wound dressings, 3D matrices for cell monitoring, and implants mimicking cartilage
